The import volume of frozen yellowfin sole in June 2024 recorded 1,346 tons, a 26% decrease compared to 1,823 tons 

in the same period of 2023. The cumulative import volume reached 8,832 tons, down 19% from 10,879 tons in the 

same period last year. This accounts for 2% of the total seafood import volume of 445,418 tons.

By country, as of June 2024, 7,106 tons (81%) of yellowfin sole were imported from Russia, 

while the remaining 1,726 tons were imported from the United States. In the same period of 2023, 90 tons were 

also imported from China. The import prices per country were USD 1.95/kg from Russia and USD 2.15/kg 

from the United States.

The import value of frozen yellowfin sole in June was USD 2.65 million, a 40% decrease from USD 4.44 million 

in the same period of the previous year. The cumulative import value also fell by 29% to USD 17.6 million 

from USD 24.84 million in the same period of 2023. The average import price was USD 1.99/kg, 

a 13% decrease from USD 2.28/kg in the same period last year.
